Thank you for your prayers and support. We are at the U of M Ped ICU. His liver is failing, and they are doing lots of tests to try to find out what is causing it. He is going to have a biopsy in a few hours. He has been put on the transplant list in case he needs a transplant.

ReplyDeleteThanks for keeping us posted.
Hi there. We are in the same PICU with our daughter, Aaryn, who may have cancer. Your site came up after not being logged off in the family lobby. Anyway, we are praying for you as well!
ReplyDeleteWe are surely thinking about you. You have been on our minds all day. We have been praying for you non-stop. May God give you peace that surpasses all understanding tonight.
ReplyDeleteWe are glad to hear an update. We will continue to pray for your little Eli and the two of you. Thank you for keeping us updated.
ReplyDeleteWilly and JoAnn
I have been thinking about you and praying for you all day. May the Great Physician wrap his arms around all three of you and give you all strength. Little Eli is amazing and beautiful even in the hospital! Let us know if you need things taken care of at home while you are away.

May you feel God's comfort tonight. Continually praying.
ReplyDeletepraying continually!! thanks for the update. my heart just aches for you guys as you endure this. may you know with confidence that he holds you all in the palm of his hand. love you.
ReplyDeleteKip & Cat,
ReplyDeleteYou know the prayers continue to be offered. Trusting you are sensing God's arms around you as you walk this journey. I've been using email to update one of your "prayer teams". Hope you don't mind if I continue calling you once/day. The song you used as a caption to Eli's baptism photos speaks Truth into this situation. Remember that God's ways are perfect (Psalm 18:30). Love, Trena
My thoughts and love are with you all, and wishes for Gentleness and Peace. Let me know if there's anything at all I can do.
ReplyDeleteKip and Cat,
ReplyDeleteWe have never met, but heard of your little boy from Trena. I am also an adoptive mother of 6 children with special needs. As I read your blog, I was struck with your quote about not seeking an easy life, but one with purpose. Your purpose is very clear right now. To love, care for and pray for this sweet little boy. You are being His hands and feet by making sure he gets the medical care he needs. It is not your job to figure out the problem, but to be the heart of Jesus that Elijah hears when you hold him to your chest. May His love continue to flow through you.
